Hi there,

when doing reads or writes during Blackmagic Speed Test or opening a big program like FCP i can faintly hear a noise coming out of the right side of the keyboard, You need to put your ear close to the keyboard.
Another source of this noise is on the left side of the keyboard which you can hear when scrolling through photos in the photos app.

Could you try this also with your MacBooks, does not matter which one and please report here?

Thanks!

What you're saying is that your computer doesn't produce enough fan noise. ;-)
All electronics make noise. And in modern electronics the forces generated by the electrical fields are astronomical. NAND is particularly notorious for making high-pitched noises, which could explain the Blackmagic Speed Test or opening a big program. Be glad you still have good hearing! Believe me, as you get older your ability to hear ultra-high pitches declines steeply.
Someone needs to write an app that, at random intervals, sounds the old POST chime, makes the sound of computer fans running like mad, and adds a few hard drive grinding noises. All the ways we Mac users used to annoy the hell out of Windows PC users in the same room.
