Electronic Transmissions

I am thinking about setting up my Apple monitor about 12 inches from my cathode ray tube TV. Does anyone know if the electronic transmissions from the TV will have an adverse effect on my Apple monitor?

Thanks for the information. Does this also apply to an Apple computer? I was thinking about setting my Mac on top of a desk about 12 to 18 inches from the same TV. I want to get my computer off the floor. I keep unconsciously bumping it with my leg. I'm worried I might forget when I have my Flash drive installed and accidently break my Flash Drive or USB socket on the front of my computer.
