Email addresses and bookmarks?

Sorry this is so basic, but I just got my first Mac, an iBook and have some 101 questions. For retrieving email, how can I set up my Pop 3 mail server and get my address book into "what?". I want to get my email from my website, but am totally clueless. I can use Plaxo, but that is not all that convenient.

Next, I need to decide on Safari, Mozilla, IE or some type of web browser. Is there an easy way to transfer bookmarks from my Windows machine to the iBook?

Please let me know how to make this happen. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you very much! That should get me throught the transition. I am anxious to get familiar with Safari, but I have used IE for over 10 years. There is a comort level there I appreciate the resources.
