iPhone 6 Plus, operating v10.2.1 since the day it came out.

Using Apple default email agent. When opened, the email program will crash three to eight seconds after opening, regardless of the kind of activity I do in that small window.

No problem receiving mail, but obviously not enough time to send. Problem started this afternoon.

Solutions?

Have you tried restarting your device to see if that helps? Perhaps removing your email account and adding it back in?

Yes, I have done the hard reboot four times, twice with the email program open, twice closed.

There are four email accounts.

Open or closed shouldn't really matter as everything gets closed once you restart. Perhaps one of the email services that you have an account with is having some issues today and causing some weird problem?

I have received emails just fine. The screen will just turn grey for about a half a second, then go back to the main screen.

Something is crashing the app. Might be an email in one of the accounts. Might be something about an account. Might be something else.
