So I come from a Blackberry and Blackberry Enterprise Server.

If the word PUSH wasn't associated with the iPhone, I would not have even looked at the iPhone. So now I have one, and even after upgrading Yahoo to mail plus, and adding IMAP prefix, it sucks. Plain and simple.

Sometimes, I click send and well, it kicks me back out to the main menu and doesn't send.

Sometimes, I receive emails within 5 seconds, and sometimes I don't even get it for 4 hours. Mind you, my reception is excellent, and I have wifi most places I go.

I've never liked Yahoo, but, this is unacceptable.

On top of all that, I can't see anything but the Inbox. I've tried rebooting a dozen times and everything I can think of...to no avail.

Come on Apple, even windows mobile does better email fake-push.

iPhone's or Yahoo's problem? Can't tell...

I'm also having issues with my iPhone and Yahoo (also the Mail Plus account).

I question if this is a Yahoo issue, however. When I go into my Yahoo inbox in "Mail" on my iPhone, I notice that the phone has not updated the inbox since the last time I actively went into the inbox to check mail. This should not be the case, since I set my mail settings to Auto-Check email every 15 minutes.

I know the iPhone is capable of receiving my yahoo mail (when I enter the yahoo mailbox on the iPhone, it checks the mail and shows me new messages received since the last time I was actively in the inbox.)

Therefore, I wonder if it is some sort of bug with the iPhone which keeps it from synchronizing my Yahoo account every 15 minutes.

Is anyone else having this problem?

More food for thought: This does not seem to be happening with my gmail account (also on my iPhone). curiouser and curiouser.

Thanks!

Remove the IMAP Prefix. That is why you only see the Inbox.

As far as other problems with Yahoo Push. I have posted a number of times on the problems if you want to do a search. Bottom line is that Yahoo Push needs a lot of work. I been waiting for Yahoo and/or Apple to address this since the beginning.

Yahoo Push does not POLL so it does not use that setting. The Auto-Check setting is NOT for Yahoo Push but for your other email account. If you only had Yahoo as your only mail account you would not see this option.

As far as Yahoo Push. There are many problems that I have posted on a number of times. You might want to do a search on Yahoo Push to get some ideas for work arounds.
