Email Mac with PC

Hi,
Is it possible to have Mac OSX mail running along with microsoft email? can they interact together??
Basically we need to be able to use email on OSX not classic (which we are at the moment!!) and still work along with PC Microsoft mail on the 2 separate servers but still all work together so if i can see the network emails address book and group calendars etc. Does any of this make sense???

What mail servers are you running? Also, are you saying that you want to be able to have two different servers "share" data between them?
