I have noticed a VERY troubling bug! Under certain circumstances if i reply to an email from my iPhone i can see the icon showing i replied to the original email, but it is not being delivered and it does not appear in my outbox, my drafts, or my sent mail folder!

This seems to be when i reply to an email when i am out of signal (e.g. on the underground) where i would expect the email to be queued up and send when i am back in signal range.

My setup is an iPhone 4S using gmail connected via exchange active sync connection (m.google.com)

Has anyone else experienced this?

Nope. No issues here. Try erasing that account and setting it up again.

I tried erasing the mail account and adding it back again but it has since failed to deliver mail still. It's very frustrating as you never quite know if someone has received what you intended or not :(

Are you sure your emails are not showing up in the "sent" folder or the "outbox" after you send them? If they are in the outbox, they would be just waiting for a good signal or a refresh to send them (the circular arrow).

It they totally disappear, I would double check the email addresses to which they are being sent. It sounds like there may be an error somewhere in there - perhaps a missing letter or transposed letters. That's about the only time I've had email totally vanish.
