I recently downloaded ELCAPITAN AND FOR SOME REASONS my computer keeps on crashing. Also, when I try to open my email, it also crashes and I can't open any of my emails nor the Messages. So I had to restore my computer back to my previous Operating System? Is anyone having the same problem and or can this be addressed by someone on how to fix it. Thanks

Did you submit feedback to Apple? The would be very helpful for them to address the problem you are facing.

This is a known issue - there are existing threads - here is the one I used to fix the issue (post #7)

The email crash problem has continued in that when I select certain saved mail mailboxes, the mail.app crashes immediately. Because those mailboxes crash the mail.app immediately, the option to select them and select rebuild is not possible. I also went into library/mail/mailbox and reindexed, but that did not fix it.

Through trial and error I discovered I could right click on those mailboxes and export the mailbox (right click doesn't crash mail.app). Then I deleted the original mailbox (that I exported), then imported it back into the mail.app.
Doing that to each mailbox that was crashing the mail.app solved all my mail.app crashes.
