I have a problem with email app . I do not receive new email notifications even when battery saver is not turned on. someone else has the same problem. I have forgotten this since ios11. I like the email app so much, but it sucks and I have to install gmail app...

If you are talking about the native iOS Mail app and using a Gmail account, there's no push support there and you can only use fetch set at particular time intervals.

Google removed support for push on iOS devices some years ago.

You have to install Gmail app to get push notifications on your iphone, outlook app works well too.
