Email notification

good day to all.
Have a small issue with MacBook Air 2017 new email notification banners.I have set it on alerts in the settings but no banners come on the top right on desktop. On same settings works okay with reminders and calendar but no banners on new mail.
Any help Please.

The settings for Mail notifications are in System Preferences > Notifications > Mail.

Personally I much prefer to use the awesome Herald plugin for my own mail notifications with Apple Mail.

Ive just noticed that it shows a banner for my gmail. I also have an outlook.com email but no banners for that one. Very strange.
