I am having this problem on both iPhone and iPad. I see a notification of an email pop up, but when I open Mail to read it, it is not to be found (not in trash, junk, either). It seems like it mostly (or maybe entirely) happens with mail from senders in my VIP folder. When I go to mail on my macbook, it will be there, in whichever appropriate folder it should be.

I was reading many posts from others with the same or similar problems on the apple support forum but tried to sign in to join the discussion and now just get a "page not found" message when I try to read the forum (from google links). Further increasing my frustration.

Before losing access to that forum, I saw some posts saying that Apple Support had advised changing the time zone settings (on all devices) to automatically detect (or whatever it's called), which is what all my devices were already set to.

I have now deleted everyone from my "VIP" list and will see if I can read their emails in my regular inbox. Mail on iPhone and iPad leaves a lot to be desired.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Debbie Laxague

I have 3 emails accounts (icloud, earthlink, gmail). I have not noticed for sure if it's just one that does the disappearing act, but if it is -- it's the icloud one. So maybe it's icloud email, and/or VIP.
