i'm having trouble with my email account on my macbook. When ever I try and delete a email message I get an error message 'The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to Deleted Messages) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: UID COPY failed Deleted Messages: no such mailbox.

I have tried to delete the account and to add it back again, but for some reason, it won't give me the option to do this.

What's the best way of rectifying this problem?

I'm wondering if you have a setting messed up. Try looking at Mail/Preferences/Accounts and under the Mailbox Behaviors tab, do you have Trash - Move deleted messages to a separate folder checked? If you don't, it should be.

Give that a try and post back the results. Hope this helps -GDF
