I emailed Tim Cook a few hours ago in regards to a concern about the WWDC.

Out of curiosity, should I expect a reply from him, or even a call from an executive member of staff at Apple? I did leave my phone number.

I got an email from Apple when i emailed him and then 2 Apple employees came from Apple HQ to see me. So i think you will get a reply but it might be from his team not him.

No. Wasn't that a Steve Jobs thing? Michael Dell does personal emails or used to, or does more now that Dell is private again. I did once get what I assume was a direct reply from Bezos. Otherwise, his executive staff contacted me. By which I had a fairly long 3 hour chat on the phone once which diverted into other stuff.

I've emailed him twice in the past and both times I got a response from him. Whether or not he answers personally or has an assistant do it is another matter, but still was nice.
