All of a sudden all emails have disappeared from the Mail inbox – they’re still on iCloud, though, so they haven't been deleted. It looks a little like the message viewer is filtering the content, though the search field is empty – at the top of the message viewer it says "Inbox (0 filtered messages)". All emails in the Flagged, Sent and Trash folders are still displayed.

I’ve tried restarting the computer, but it made no difference. Any suggestions what could be the matter?
