Emergency: Google apps keep crashing on 18.3.1

Hi, upgraded to 18.3.1 from 18.3 on 16 Pro Max. Now Google maps, youtube and youtube music keep crashing after about 15-20 seconds. I have reinstalled and also restarted phone but no luck. I saw other applle users had this issue last year with google maps but this update bricked the apps for me. My spouse has 18.3 on iPhone 15 and has no issues. We are on a trip abroad and this is a huge issue as we need google maps to get around.

I brought my iPhone 15 pro max and was hoping I don't have to resort to getting a local sim card and activating the phone since I have already paid ATT the $100 for ten day usage and we still have 2 weeks left to go.

Anyone fix this issue?

Reset network settings and see if that helps.

Seems to be kinda random for people and not even tied to any particular version of iOS 18 or model of iPhone.

Is there any Google application that doesn't crash? If so, I think I'd try deleting all the Google applications other than that one, open the one that works and sign out of every Google account that's active. Then…start over.

I'm on iPhone 13 and iOS 18.3.1 and my Google applications are NOT crashing.

forgot to mention: google apps such as maps, translate and youtube run for about 30s before crashing.

This started last November according to this discussion. I didn't have any issues until 18.3.1.
