So it seems that everyone with an iPhone 14 (except China) “will” have “Emergency SOS via satellite”. The only stipulation is that they would have to come to North America to see it in action.
But I wonder if the phones would actually try to connect anyway as that would be prior to the cut-off for the service. You are out of range of a tower so GPS would not work or restrict you. The restriction would come after you connected and requested help. But it should connect - right?
Does anyone know for sure? If all devices are enabled by default it could be fun looking for a connection even if outside of the service…
