I think my iphone x did this on 11.1.2 as well as 11.2 now but when I open the keyboard in a message and go to click on a hand emoji to send it, like the thumbs up for example, the skin color selector pops up on the first tap and stays there until I pick one instead of popping up when I long press. This only happens when the hand emojis are in the "frequently used" portion and on the first click of it after the keyboard opens. I can’t attach my screen record of it.

Anyone else having this happen, know if it’s a bug or know a way to stop it? It’s nothing major but it is really annoying.

This is what the pop up looks like with no blue selector box in it.

I have the same problem. Started with 11.2 (last beta)

I reset the keyboard settings and it persists. This is a random bug.
[doublepost=1512667255][/doublepost]Ok, it took 2 times of setting the color of the emoji and now it sticks. A bug for sure.

No problem here (iPhone X / 11.2). Maybe try to reset keyboard settings
I tried resetting it and deleting the emoji keyboard to no avail.

It's like it resets to default each time the keyboard is closed and only pops up the first time so you set it. Thats the best way I can describe it.

I did some tinkering and noticed though, when I have all the options turned on or off (like in the pic attached) it acts normal. However, if I turn off diction, it acts like I was describing. Definitely a bug but since turning diction on fixes it for me, I'm not that concerned about it.

It was dictation. I turned it off the other day. If I turn it back on, the keyboard emojis work fine.
