Using the new iPad Air and noticed when in Messages and I type things like cat, dog, fish or turtle...I don’t get an emoji suggestion. I need to manually find them. It’s not working like it does on the phone.
I have emoji keyboard selected in settings. Is this normal?

Just create a message / email to yourself with many emoji’s. Once done the OS will know you are into emoji’s and have it included in the prediction suggestion bar.

That did it! Thanks for the help.
