Guys,
I know employees (at retail stores) get a friends and family 15% discount.
But is this applicable to refurbs? I am guessing not, since refurbs can only be bought online and the employee has to sign (or something) at the store to get you the discount?

I have a friend who is joining apple store next month, hence the question.

does the employee need to have the person he/she is buying for present with them at the time of the sale?

I don't believe there are any discounts you can get on refurb. models (maybe tax free but Im not sure), but any normal priced or things on sale in store are eligible

No. You can give your friend your credit card number + billing/shipping addresses and they can do it without you.
