Empty desktop when Big Sur RC boots

Updated a couple of days ago. Overall, very smooth, almost all apps work fine. Today, when starting my Mac Mini up and logging on, I goa a blank desktop, wallpaper only, no icons, Dock, or menu bar. Cursor was responsive. After 3 minutes or so it fixed itself. Researching the Console Crash reports showed an entry for /usr/libexec/lsd, which I never saw before. I followed the quidelines here to clean out $TMPDIR -

Just installed RC 11.0.1 and desktop seems fine here - maybe a glitch?

Yeah, it didn't appear for a couple of days. Not sure if it's gone for good.
