In chapter 29 of the Hillegass book, there is a program called "Departments". You are supposed to create an empty NIB file, called "Departments-View.nib". Somehow I can make the file, but it doesn't appear with the rest of my files once I save it, meaning, when I save it somehow I can't get it to appear with the other nib files, mainmenu.nib and mydocument.nib. So essentially it cant be used. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure I understand. You can't find the .xib file you created? Are you sure it's not just "hiding" in the wrong directory (like in the "classes" directory)? That has happened to me a few times. I think Xcode likes to suggest the previously used (or possibly a random!) path in the save dialog.
