Hey there, ladies and gentlefolk, I'm interested if anyone else is experiencing this issue:

Whenever I click on the speaker icon in the top menu bar, an empty field appears to the left of the time machine icon (counting from notification centre, it would be to the left of my 7th element in the bar, forming an empty space as the 8th element). When I move the speaker icon around, the space still appears at the 8th position, the same happens if I move something other than Time Machine at that 7th place.

I'm running macOS 10.12.5 on a Mac Pro 2010.
[doublepost=1503866970][/doublepost]Alright, excuse my haste, I've found the solution on another forum:

For everyone concerned with this issue: The empty space is actually the AirPlay Mirroring Display Icon appearing and being instantly hidden, a UI-glitch at the moment. To fix it for the time being, you can disable the "Show mirroring options" setting in "Displays".
