Anyone know the easiest way to enable the native resolution on a rMBP under Yosemite? Would prefer not to have to download an app to do this. Any way to run a script to do it or a terminal command? Thanks

Can't you do that in display settings?

No, you can only pick from Apple's "scaled" resolutions. The highest one actually performs worse than native, because it renders it at 3400 something off screen, then downscales it back to your display.

Are you sure?
Execute system_profiler SPDisplaysDataType | grep Resolution command on it.

Besides, 1440x900 HiDPi as far as I understand runs at effective 2880x1800, so it's native as well, it just makes UI elements bigger, but PPI (as in display quality) doesn't decrease.

The scaled resolutions are not 2880x1800. That's why there were apps like SwitchResX that would allow you to set the real native panel resolution. I'm just looking for a way to do this on Yosemite.
