I just a couple of days ago installed iOS 18 beta 3 on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and when I launched Safari was presented with a dialogue asking if I wanted to enable Highlights. I chose not to and clicked No, whereupon the dialogue disappeared—but I’ve changed my mind and would like to try it after all. However though I have Highlights selected in Safari settings, it doesn’t seem to be working. Of course, I realize that this is a beta and may change with the next iteration, but I’m wondering if there’s something I can do in the meantime to activate it. Any suggestion would be much appreciated.

I'm unsure if the feature is active in the beta or part of the Apple Intelligence beta coming in the fall. I haven't come across any sites with a highlight yet.

I just found that this feature is indeed active in beta 3; I encountered an example of it. But it doesn’t seem to occur very often yet. Presumably it will in future betas.

How have you “triggered” it? I.e., what kind of page were you on? Was this only after updating to beta 3, revised? Or before?

I tried it out a couple days ago using some local hotel pages. Nothing spectacular, just a map location. once fully adopted I can see it becoming a pretty useful feature though.

I didn’t do anything to trigger it. I just went on a website and it showed up when I clicked on the colored item that appeared on the item on the left of the address bar. I did read that not many websites support it yet, but I imagine that lots of them will when the final version is released. It didn’t show up before I updated to beta 3, original (not revised) version.
