I been reading these forums all day and found some great post about enabling MSS but with a MAC. I already enabled tethering and works great using the profile update through email on iphone. Any suggestions to enable MMS using Windows? I dont have access to a Mac..... Thanks In Advance Guys

Great find I ran into a litle problem though. I have Vista 6bit. when I run the command prompt "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1 I get an error.

itunes.exe is located under Program Files (x86) so I tried to run "C:\ Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1 and the path cannot be found..... an suggestions?

You seem to have a stray space between "C:\" and "Program Files (x86)", are you sure you didnt try and run it that way?

tethering works with no problems at all. I also added the info in the mms section i did get the camera up on texting but with no luck on sending pictures.

Yeah, I'm thinking AT&T wasn't kidding when they said they weren't ready for MMS... Though someone said you have to take the sim card from another GSM AT&T phone, put it in your iPhone, make a few calls, log into your account on wireless.att.com (making sure the phone you just used shows as your phone) and add picture messaging to your plan (which is not an option if your phone is an iPhone) then put your original sim in then it might work but that sounds like a big pain in the ass... I'll just wait till late summer. I just want the option to tether if I need it in a pinch - I don't plan on going ******* with it, nor do I want to spend any more money on top of what I pay for data (especially considering I live in EDGE country and I use less than 100 MB/month)

Settings to get Visual VoiceMail kills tethering! I've done this many times and have not been able to get both working. Am I alone?

The directions in this thread don't require Mac or Windows (you can install the profile from your phone)

Also, when you enter in the username / password it supplies for the MMS section, the little camera icon shows up in Messages (though I haven't tested if I can actually send one since I'm in a building with no reception)

I got the tethering portion to work, but MMS does not. I do not see the carrier setup screen... What did I do wrong?

Any one not getting it to work the key is to change the phone you have on the myatt website.

Damn, all my phones are unlocked so I don't think ATT can recognize it. Can anyone confirm that you need to change the phone on your myWireless account? Can I change it manually?

Using the info here, All I did was make 3 - 4 calls on the non-iPhone, and the image for the phone with my number in the MyWireless account on ATT's site automatically changed. When that was done, I swapped sim cards again, and all was well.
