Hey guys, I tried everything but I cannot enable my usb mouse on my apple tv.

I have my USB keyboard hooked up to my ATV, my External Drive is hooked up to my USB keyboard and everything works but my mouse:(

can someone help me out please.

thanks,

sry guys, i forgot to mention that I am running os x 10.4.9 from my external harddrive

That could be the problem.

But I have my usb keyboard and it has an lcd screen and led lights in the keys )logitech g15) and I would imagine that is pretty high powered but it still works. Wen I plug in my mouse it lights up but doesn't do anything.

I tried all those hacks, but I didn't think they were necessary because its actually a full version of os x.

how did you get all this to work? External drive, mouse & USB. Keyboard? would love to try this. Actually since i sync wirelessly, I'm really more interested in attaching a wireless keyboard and mouse. But the drive could be cool too.
thanks!

hey,

sorry about that, i had to steal my keyboard from my main pc to use on the apple tv and i use my blackberry to post on here, its kinda hard to do this so i was gonna refrain until i got my keyboard hooked up again.

basically i got a new mouse. my old mouse didnt seem to work for some reason. it worked on my pc, but not on the apple tv??? buh. i got another mouse and it worked. i now have ssh working and im in the process of trying to hook up awkward tv.

i am a newbie at this stuff so it is taking me forever. but everytime i get a step further, i pat myself on the back..lol

all the instructions are very well written, but they are not for newbies. they aren't "step by step" per se, because they leave out important info and they assume u know how to do it, like editing files and using terminal, i had to read on how to do all that stuff.

i wanted to pay someone to help me, but its much more satisfying getting it done yourself
