I hope that this is the correct place to ask, but if not, please try to point me in the right direction.
I'm interested in putting some audio and video on the web, for member users to download. I don't want my audio and video to be shared like crazy, so I would like to encode the user's info, that downloaded the file, into the file. So, if I did find it shared somewhere eventually, at least I know who did it, and I can request for them to stop, or remove their account.
Is this something that has to be programmed into the website? or is there an opption that I could select?
What I want is kind of what Apple probably does wtih their DRM free music? I'm sure it is somehow tagged with a user's info to help track sharing.
Thnaks,
Brian
