Hello all,

any help would be greatly appreciated. I just installed Big Sur on my Mac Pro. It downloads fine and 30 mins into installation I get this screen attached below. When I try to verify my startup disk, it won’t allow me to use my correct password saying it’s incorrect. I don’t want to format for I have stuff I need on this drive that I unfortunately didn’t backup. I’m stuck, any help would be awesome

I figured it out for people having the same problem. Boot into cmd-r and disable security for boot disk and allow for external he to be boot disk- this worked for me
