iOS 16.6 (20G75)

Problem
Yesterday I tried backing up my iPhone via the finder to an external SSD (Samsung T7). I chose to encrypt the backup for privacy and security reasons. However, when I compared my storage on my iPhone vs. the backup file on my SSD, I noticed a significant difference between their respective sizes. This is not my first time backing up my iPhone to it, but the backup file has never been this small. Am I the only one experiencing this issue, or is this replicable on your guy's end as well?

Backups don’t include apps, and apps like VLC and Infuse can set their data to not be included in a backup. It’s typical that media isn’t stored elsewhere, too. In the case of Infuse at least, the assumption is that you’ve synced that data from some other location, and that data is backed up at the original point, not on your phone.
