It's called 'Encyclopedia' and it's made by 'Steam Heavy Industries'.

It's 6 euros here in Spain.

Has anyone downloaded it? I don't really like what it states in the description:

'When you first launch Wikipedia, you will be required to download a copy of the database, which will occupy about 2GB of space on your device.'

That's a lot of space!

Actually, for the whole of Wikipedia, 2Gb doesn't sound bad. I wonder if the data is compressed.

Anyway, this is clearly for people who don't always have good net connections on their iPhone or iPod touch. For those who do have good net connections and don't want to download and store everything, there are other apps on iTunes (at least one free, I use Quickpedia) that formats Wikipedia on your iPhone pretty well without having to store it locally.

I wonder how long it would take to download those 2GB of data though.
