I finally did it. I just ordered a 20" i mac which will replace my trusted bullet proof 2002 867 mhz Powerbook G4, Smedley, as my primary computer. Smedley will continue on with me, as I can never really "replace" him. He is just that good.

Not one moment of trouble, never crashed, hanged, nothing! never! in five years! That Smedles, man, what a trooper.

Today though I sucked it up and placed my order through the education store with days running out to take advantage of the free ipod nano offer, as well as the Adobe Design Suite premium for only $349 when you buy a new mac. Yes, you heard me, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Flash and Dreamweaver for only $349.

So you see, I had to do it.

This will be my first Intel mac though, so any advice in this emotional time would be much appreciated!

you'll love it! I just got a referb 14 inch imac (white) and I have fallen in love all over again.

My first love was my powerbook g4.

At some point you might want to put some more ram in that thing. But other then that... enjoy!
