I really don't think he'd ruin his credibility like that, but those sure are some hard to believe specs. Especially at the price points he's stated.

If the specs are hyped or false, some one else ought to try to deliver them because they are fabulous– almost perfect. I'll stay mum about 'perfect' till later today.

I don't know man..... He has been very truthful in all of his stories over the years. I think he is spot on, but could be relishing it a bit. If he turns out to be a liar, than he kills his site as well.
