Ive got a Rev A with no overheating issues and no slowdown after playing youtube or even full movies. So they aren't all bad you know.

That was a little short and sweet review Engadget made.
Thank you for sharing with us. :)

The good side of the grass.
You must learn how to ignore. I don't agree with a lot of the crap posted here either but getting into a war of words just isn't worth the aggravation. Being a day one owner of early '08 Air and day one of late '08, there's a world of improvement addressing many early issues and both screens are equally as awesome.

Agreed dude. I'm a first time MacBook Air owner (Rev. B) and I absolutely love it but I have no basis for comparison with the older one. I guess that old adage is true though: "Don't buy any first gen Mac products. Wait for all the kinks to work themselves first. Then consider buying the second gen's."

That being said, I received my repaired MacBook Pro Gen. 1,1 from the Genius Bar today and this MBA is a world different from it. The screen on the MBA is waaaaay crisper, the convenience of the four-finger gesture makes it that I can no longer multitask without it (I am not kidding, once you do it a couple times, you can never go back), and the overall thiness compared to the MBP is almost mindbogling.

I love my MBA and its slowly becoming my full desktop replacement. That said ,I still agree with alot of the issues the Engadget article cited. (I'm not *totally* biased for the MBA) :)

Sorry I was the first adopter of the crapbook, you can tell me the aren't that bad. Sorry no offense.

Okay, just so I'm clear.

a) Some people complain about problems with their Rev B Airs. Because yours is perfect, you don't believe that there are any problems.

b) Some people have perfect Rev A Airs. Because yours was flawed, you don't believe that there were any perfect ones.

Are you for real? Seriously? Do you not see the hypocrisy in your arguments? To top it all off, you, a member of all of 2 months, have the nerve to pick on "newbies" for complaining about a problem with their machine?

You mentioned you were in your 40's. How about you act your age?

Not all newbies just one:) I wished I had a perfect A but it had many problems I guess not many got a perfect one judging by the amount of posts.
I moved to a B and a world of difference .

Any who, loved the review.

Quoted for truth.
Ironic: I don't think you realize that at least a million macbook airs have been sold. Now, just how many people do you think post on MacRumors to whine about their MBAs? I hope you know where I'm going with this, because to spell it out would be an insult to your intelligence, as scant as it seems...

Anyway, thanks for pointing out the review.

Quoted for truth.

Gotta agree 100% on this. I like to give everybody the benefit of the doubt, but honestly, I've had to skip reading Ironic's last 100 or so posts since they were one liners devoid of information. Stop acting like a toolbox and post useful stuff.

Sorry I was the first adopter of the crapbook, you can tell me the aren't that bad. Sorry no offense.

IF I'm understanding what you are trying to say, don't deal in absolutes.

I'm a Rev A owner. I've had core shut down problems. I still have some video stutter from time to time. I would love to trade this one for a Rev B.

But it's not a "crapbook".

I wouldn't trade it for any MacBook, even the aluminum ones, for example.

Don't be such a dick about it, face that there are users that don't have that many issues. You got a problematic one (or ones, I dunno). I can't tell what you do with your OS X, but anyway, mine works great and beat the crap of lots of MacBooks I've owned / knew.

Holy no, my rev A is perfect! People who complains should've returned it Apple Store right then by opening it right then! :p
Why didn't you do so, (my rev A is perfect) * 10...
(For those new comers around the threads... yes, I am joking...)

OTOH, I guess I'm a dirty smelly man, using the crapbook alone as the only computer for last 6 months... (Runs for bath.)

h1d, you're not helping the situation here. Can you just drop it too? It will save many of us from banging our foreheads against our desks in frustration sifting through this internet feud between you two.

Guys, just need to ignore Ironic. He *hates* the MBA RevA with all his/her might. It's his/her own personal opinion and apparently the rest of us RevA adopters who love their MBAs and have had little to no problem with them (I had more problems with my RevA MacBook Black than I've had with my air) are just wrong. :D

As long as we all make sure to keep his crap-talking the RevA in check in *every* thread we'll be fine ;) ('cause it's apparently his/her personal mission to crap-talk the RevA in every thread that even thinks about mentioning the RevA machines...)
