I just created my first document with Pages, over all it was a little more challenging to do than on my desktop with Word, but it was cunner to do. The document which is a coupon page for a website I. Am building for a local company. The document still needs to be approved by the business. I can post a screen cap if anyone wants to see it. I was able to export it as a PDF file the formatting stayed true on my computer but on my fathers some thongs were off, which i found to be odd.

Pages is very usable if you have patience with things, I I'll be using it to start chapters for a book i am working on in InDesign, those will be basic text.

For my spreadsheet I went with Mariner calc over numbers, mostly for Excel. Its probably not as user friendly as Numbers seems to be, but it does what i needed it to do.

I might try out Keynote down the line, i have never needed presentation software, so I might hold off till I actually need it.

I was looking at HTML editing software, basically to manage basic things on websites on the go, i have two apps in mind, but am unsure how usable they are. It would be cool to make changes to those files on e go and upload them right away.

Over all the iPad has been fantastic for me, i am doing 95% of the work i used to do on my lapt, which I sold to get this. The only thing I long for is image tagging, I would love to tag images from this. That kind of usability might be a long way off. I prefer to edit my photographs on my desktop, which now does Photoshop, lightroom, indesign and website creation and editing. I no longer use it for web browsing or email. I guess the iPad liberates me from the desk, its nice to work all day without worry about batteries dying. My laptop would last 3-4 hours, and was prone to overheating.

As of today, the iPad still stands as a very productive device for me. I do wish , i could add words to the dictionary for auto spell.
