MacBook Air 15 inch. In the old days there was a way to zoom into the Mac screen but outside of Safari I am not sure how. When I have MacBook Air on my lap on a chair I could use an ability to zoom into my Mac screen so I do not need my glasses. Is there a way? Thanks..

There are also some browsers, Safari and Firefox among them, inwhich you can double-tap your mouse or trackpad to have the width of the column fill the width of the window. Double-tap again to get back to normal.

For some apps you can use CMD plus + or CMD plus - on the keyboard to zoom in or out.

Or, you can go to the VIEW menu and click on the "Zoom" option.

Another useful (vision-related) accessibility feature:

The following is a demo of Hover Text on macOS Big Sur, therefore, for example, you’ll see System Preferences rather than the Settings app. In other words, it won’t be a perfect aid to configure Hover Text on a modern Mac — that’s what the earlier linked article is for — but it does a good job of showcasing Hover Text.
