Entourage can't check my Hotmail acct. help!

So I got Entourage, because mail wasn't working with my Hotmail account, even with the httpmail plugin I downloaded.

Now, after setting up Entourage, I can't check my hotmail account with the application!

Here is the error I get:

"The Hotmail folder list could not be received. HTTP error.

The server cannot fulfill the request.

Error: 1500"


If someone could help, I'd really, really appreciate it.

hotmail access is buggy even in entourage. it doesn't check the accounts automatically, and often encounters errors.

i'd love to know how to check my hotmail through entourage, i didn't even know it could be done.
can you please tell me what i need to do?

If you can, distance yourself from hotmail as much as possible.

I've never had luck with it.

don't know if you were able to get Hotmail working from Entourage, but if you haven't figured it out I can help.
go to the "tools" menu, and then down to the Accounts section. you can then make a new account, and select a Hotmail account as your acct type. You'll enter your info.
one thing I've found somewhat troublesome is that Entourage wasn't checking my folders automatically. I missed a few messages for a few days that way. You have to make a new schedule (that's what entourage calls it) to check the folders within your hotmail account. or, you can modify the existing "send and receive all" schedule to check the internal folders. Go to "tools">run schedule>edit schedules, then double-click on "send and receive all". when that window pops up, you can then select "account options" for the hotmail account and choose your folders.
