Entourage Error Log / File size

Hello

I keep getting error messages 'connection to the server failed or was dropped' or 'message failed, please rebuild/restart Entourage'

Anybody tell me how to get rid of this?

Also my Entourage size is 64GB which is making it hard to back up. How can I compress or reduce the size??
