I cannot get my entourage mail to work with hotmail. I get the error message 1500 saying it cannot recieve the messages. I dont know what i am doing wrong because i am able to get my other mail, and its just hotmail that isnt working. has anyone else had this problem? Thanks ya'll

but i noticed entourage made me change my hotmail password to an 8-character one, whereas hotmail via safari or outlook never mentioned or had a problem with this.

you have it set up as a hotmail account, not pop or imap, right?
it doesn't work really well. it doesn't automatically check messages (as far as I can tell), so I have to hit send and receive to get them. other than that it's okay.

You need to install the service pack, up to at least 1.4 (1.5 is current). This is pretty standard for people that just install from the CD (or Warez) but don't update.
About a year ago Hotmail made a change to the security scheme of thier hotmail servers, and all hotmail tools had to be updated to connect to it.
