I use Entourage for my e-mail and it has one very annoying feature. With every peice of mail I open, I must also click to open the graphics. I tried putting some of the senders in my Entourage address book but besides clogging it up it really did not solve the problem. It states that it is doing this for security reasons but my old version of Entourage didn't do this and neither does Outlook or any other e-mail program that I have used. Is there any way to permanently turn off this "security" feature?

Not in front of my Mac but you can set image viewing in the Preferences.

There's no obvious way to turn it off altogether. You can set to download automatically from people in your address book.

Which unfortunately means jamming up your address book with a whole of companies that send mail. Unfornately even when you put a sender in your address book if they send something from a slightly different sender's address, if again block's it. Extremely annoying. Makes me want to find a different e-mail program. Anyway thanks for your help.

Fair point. I appreciate, however, the effort to create some security.

I haven't tried it, but what if you used the mailing list manager to add the addresses? Then they wouldn't end up in your address book, but should be covered by the automatic download of pictures rule. While you still have to add, it won't clutter address book. I haven't tried, so it might not work.

Why do accept such grief? Apple provided you with Mail.app, a mail client that is substantial more pleasant to use.

Good suggestion. I am trying to set it up Apple's iMail but since I am not that familiar with e-mail settings I am having trouble figuring out which settings from Entourage to copy and paste into iMail to get it set up.
