I just noticed an EPP discount on the current Mac Pro - Is this new or has it been that way for a while now? Thought I checked a couple of weeks ago and prices were the same.

Most likely new.. The so called "2012 Mac Pros" are really 2010 Mac Pros with speed bumped processors. They have the same hardware that the former models had.
Refurbished machines are usually a lot cheaper though.

I meant to say I had been checking for EPP discounts and comparing prices to the regular store. When the BP apple store had lower prices I thought it might have been a sign of trying to clear out inventory prior to an update.

The EPP discount has been there since day 1. I bought both of my MPs this way (in 2006 and 2012)
