I've had an EPSON 1280 hooked to a Mac using OX 10.2.4 for months ( nearly a year) now - patiently awaiting the printer drivers that will enable printing up to 13 x 38 inches. So far none of the updates has made this possible. Photoshop sure thinks it can do it but the printer always shrinks the images down. I've printed 11x 17 beautifully ( the printer is awesome in terms of final results) but the panoramic shots from my Hassy XPan have been held hostage- at least at 13x 38. Has anyone out there gotten this to work from the Mac?
BTW also tried the GIMP drivers and they never were even able to make the printer twitch - the print que never filled with the file to be printed.
Is there some basic incompatibility here that I am warring with between the OS and the printer?
particulars: mac G4, Dual 450 MHz, 10.2.4 Printer on USB direct, Photoshop 7.0.1, Images from a Nikon Coolscan 8000 at 4000 ppi, 14 bit depth, latest printer driver from EPSON: 1.5aA/ 1.56
