I've had an Epson R800 for a couple years, and used it a lot for printing on CDs. Recently I did a clean install on my Mac Pro (10.5.4) and so needed to reinstall the Epson driver. I did that, but now I'm unable to print on CD--I keep getting a "paper out or incorrect tray position" error. I think it's trying to print to paper instead of CD. And it seems like with the driver I installed I no longer have the choices in page setup for borderless, etc. In page setup all I can choose is "Epson Stylus Photo R800" with no subcategories. In the print dialog box I have "Epson Print CD" selected, and under print settings I have "cd/dvd" selected for media type.

Like I said, I've printed on discs a million times before--I know how to use the tray and stuff. It seems to me I don't have the right driver. From the Epson site I downloaded the 3.0aAs driver. I did a printer reset before installing. I repaired disc permissions. I also tried installing the latest Easy Print driver. Both of these drivers are for Intel, which I have.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. It seems to me I'm missing some options I had before in page setup--like to choose 8x10 borderless for example.

wow!

Nice of you and for those having the same problem.

Hello Guys, I know this is already a resolved post but if anyone is looking, here's another option for disc printing.
This is a way of printing without using plastic trays. They're easier to use and much cheaper in ink. The GX and the MX publisher both work with the MAC http://www.microboards.co.uk/product.asp?id=4&product=20

So you are suggesting people buy a single purpose disk printer rather than using the capabilities built in to their existing printers? Thanks for the suggestion but I for one would have to respectfully pass!
