Epub books being uploaded via Book app on Mac / Catalina not showing cover art

Hi I have some epub books that I upload to the cloud via Book app on Catalina Mac 10.15.1. After upload, the book's cover art is not being shown (shows generic cover) when I use the Book app on my iphone.

Does anyone have a fix for this? Thanks!

yes exact same problem here not aware of a fix as yet

So this could be a bug Apple needs to fix.

Hi, I found this workaround posted on another site, I just followed the steps and it worked.

Thanks but won’t this create two copies of each book in books?

i followed the instructions then just deleted the generic cover versions. I know it’s not ideal but I really hated seeing those generic covers LOL.

So even the update for Catalina 10.5.2 even though the release notes mention fix for books app in mac doesn't fix this art work not appearing in the Ipad. Poor state of affairs with this update.
