Hey everyone! I tried searching but could not find any answers for this specific version of IOS 11 beta. I currently have Developer Beta 9 on my 7 Plus and am wanting to do an erase and install. From what I understand in earlier betas there were problems doing this or special steps. Have the bugs been fixed to where I can simply go into the settings and click the button, or are there extra steps needed?

I'm doing this because I am trading in my 7 Plus to Verizon and obviously I don't want my personal data on the phone when I turn it in.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Are you trying to get back to iOS 10?

Yeah, you should restore your phone in iOS 10.3.3 like new.
Ok. Should i go ahead and use the restore images that apple posted to get back to 10.3.3? Can i just download that one and do the itunes restore or do i have to downgrade in steps?

I usually just use the current version software file to downgrade but here are the official instructions copied from the Apple website just to be sure. Don't forget to make sure Activation Lock gets disabled:

Uninstall iOS beta

To uninstall iOS beta, you need to erase and restore your device. Then—if you have an archived backup*—you can set up again from that backup. Here's how:

  1. Check that you have the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Connect your device to your computer, then put your device in recovery mode with these instructions:
    • For iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Continue to hold both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
    • For iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Don't release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Continue to hold both buttons until you see the recovery mode screen.
  3. Click the Restore option when it appears, which erases your device and installs the current non-beta version of iOS.
  4. Wait for the restore to finish. If asked, enter your Apple ID and password, which disables Activation Lock. If the restore process won't finish, get help.

Thats for your help, I really appreciate it! My favorite part of those instructions. "If the restore process won't finish, get help".haha

Just thought of (hopefully) one last question. I am running High Sierra on my 2015 MacBook. Will running that have any negative implications with the iPhone restore process?

I'm just trying to cover my bases. I have already bricked one 7 Plus and luckily Apple replaced it for free instead of charging me the $350 replacement fee. I don't want to go down that road again!

Normally, everything will be alright
