Erase guest user?

Can the guest user be erased? Or how can I fully lock down my computer so my kid can't use it unless his homework is done?

It can be disabled in System Preferences -> Users & Groups and unless you do passwordless login then no problem. That is unless you have given your password to your kid or you can always go with Parental Controls as an alternative.
