I noticed these options today while editing under 'Markup' in my photos for work today, but I couldn't get them to do anything, same goes for the black pencil and black ruler/level. If I tap on the black ruler, a transparent line appears across the screen, and when moved with two fingers, converts into a level. Anyone know anything about these features? Bueller?

There you go...it's beta software. It looks like Apple is adding some neural network AI magic and it's not quite functional yet.

Interesting, maybe they saw Google adding via Google one made them look into it. I thought it was mad they didn’t add it with iOS 16 when they had the whole photo remove feature

I would assume the erase is only for drawings you added with the markup feature to the picture...
