How do you copy eReader format books to the iPhone?

I have a bunch from when I used eReader on my Treo, hope to not have to buy them again.

I have several books on ereader as well!

I don't have the software yet, but I also found the ereader app. If anyone gets a chance to test it please post.

By the way, the Ereader site stills says it is exploring the iphone and blackberry for possible future platforms.

Download from ereader.com

From within the eReader application, you can download books from your ereader.com bookshelf to the iPhone or iPod Touch.

Future versions will probably allow you to download from other sites or your Mac.

have you tried that? When I log on to my bookshelf, I don't see any of the books there - seems to be very buggy.

what Im confussed about is I own about 10 ebooks but they are just on my MAC how do I get them on the App? I do not want to use their service and pay for these books again! What do we do?

In fictionwise I have an account that keeps my books on a shelve. I can download to my computer any number of formats, I have my ebooks in pdf (for reading on my macbook) and mobi (for reading on my kindle). I have not tested how the reader works as I am at work now and still have not loaded 2.0 on my computer to phone to test. This weekend will be interesting. By the way, Fictionwise owns e-Reader.

Next version...

For those (like me) who have books on your Mac that you'd like to read on your iPhone or iPod Touch, you'll have to wait for the next version of eReader, which will have that ability. We're hoping to have that version out in 2-3 weeks.

eReader for iPhone will read eReader-format books, and PalmDoc-format books, but not Word, Mobi, PDF or other formats.

great to hear, but why not let us read all Ebook formats? Im excited as I have some ebooks I need to finish but ones in PDF and I really love your app design, but I guess I will get another Reader that supports all formats.. Hate to pay for it but it would cost me more to rebuy these books than the other reader apps..

try bookshelf - you can upload books from your computer to the iphone using their iphone bookshelf client on your computer. works very well.

i'm having a similar problem - any book i purchased prior to the iphone show up on my iphone - but any new books i purchase don't seem to show up - very weird and annoying. they obviously have a bug.

I'll just stick with ereader and wait for the update. I don't to pay $10 for bookshelf when ereader will probably be just as good or better eventually.

New ereader books not on bookshelf

Avid ereader user on my Treo until I went to iphone last year. Happiest Day when ereader became available for iphone. But, like above, I cannot see my new purchases (no unlock code needed) on shelf. I can get the ones I bought and read last year, but not todays. Someone posted a review and noted they could purchase and download right from website on iphone, but I get an error (Safari cannot download file) when I try from website.

PLEASE HELP!!! I NEED THIS! WITHDRAWL IS BAD! So close....

Hmm... did add a FREE ebook to my bookshelf. That has the Unlock code listed and shows up on the iphone. But my New purchases show NO UNLOCK CODE NEEDED and Don't. What is the difference? And why No code needed on these new purchases?

OKAY---I HAVE FIGURED IT OUT! I just bought a single book (found oone more I wanted beyong the 4 I just bought) and this one has the UNLOCK CODE. And it does appear on my bookshelf. So they question is, why does my last group of books show NO UNLOCK CODE NEEDED and why can't I get those on the iphone? For that group of 4 I used a 20% off code, for the single I used a 10%. Nothing else differs. I want these 4 books I bought. I can read on laptop but don't want to! Don't want to have to rebuy either!
