Hi!

I’m looking for an ergonomic keyboard, something that one thinks shouldn’t be that difficult to find. I only have one simple demand: It shouldn’t make my eyes hurt. And if possible it should be wireless. This seems to make it impossible to find any candidates at all, which I find baffling. And I’m even totally fine using a PC layout without command key! Right now I have the only one I’ve managed to find, microsoft sculpt, it is cheap and you can feel it (keys stops working etc) and also it doesn’t use bluetooth so I need a dongle (which requires a second dongle for usb-a support). The only other I’ve found is from logitech but that keyboard has a numpad, making it well very unergonomic. All the popular ergonomic keyboards like kinesis, ergodox and matias ergo looks like they were found at a 1990s PC yard sale. Please say that I have missed some great keyboard in my research?

All the best!

Are you still searching? The Dygma Raise looks especially cool in silver.

Personally I use a Kinesis FreeStyle2. I agree it is ugly but the keyboard itself is awesome.

Dygma Raise seems like a good option for something that is available now.

However, if you are willing to put some effort into this, check this keyboard out: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=107031.0

If you like it, bookmark the page and periodically check for when the Group Buy starts. Basically this is a period where you pay and reserve one to be made for you, since this is a limited run done by an independent builder. Then you have to wait for the boards to actually be manufactured, so it will not be an immediate solution to your problem and you will likely have to get something in the meantime.

However, as someone who is very interested in ergonomic keyboards that don't look ugly, this is the nicest looking design I have ever seen, so I thought I'd recommend it to you.

It is funny that Apple will not design an ergonomic, premium mechanical keyboard. I actually think the Magic Keyboard is very nice for a scissor-switch board. The problem is that for people who make their living off of their computers, their fingers will start to hurt after using it for extended periods of time. A "Magic Keyboard Pro" seems obvious.

I feel a keyboard that splits is superior. It allows you to adjust the width to your liking and position your arms in the manner you deem most comfortable.
