Can a mb/mbp be connected to a monitor, keyboard and mouse to make it more ergonomic for use at a desk?

I was hoping to be able to have one and leave it closed in the corner acting as just a computer. Cheers

Thanks for that.

Quick follow up question: does anybody do this themselves and if so how easy is it to set up. I was thinking about using a wireless keyboard and mouse.

It's a very popular setup, usually with an Apple Cinema Display or the new Dell range. The wireless keyboard is very good, I've tried it myself. Make sure you get the right type of cable to connect your display to your laptop, remembering the Macbook has a Mini-DVI.
Check out this thread for some setup ideas.
Also, check out the Griffin Elevator, I'm getting one myself :)
