I installed boot camp and XP last night, and I noticed today that while I'm in XP, the trackpad suddenly becomes erratic and sometimes even non-responsive. When I first boot up or restart it works fine for a few minutes. But then it sometimes stutters, moves too fast, or just gets stuck and doesn't move at all when I'm using the trackpad. Is this a known issue or am I just unlucky? Is there any kind of driver fix or update for this? Thanks in advance.

I have similar problems every now and then. It's definately the bootcamp driver for the trackpad.

Best thing to do is go into device manager and roll back the drivers on both apple trackpad and the apple trackpad filter. That should solve your problems but you'll lose the two finger scroll and right click.

I only see the filter in the device manager. Is the trackpad listed somewhere else?

The other partial solution is to pass your hand over the entire trackpad. Put all your fingers in the trackpad and move them from right to left (or left to right, it doesn't matters).

This is a form of reseting the trackpad. Do this each time it stops working correctly, and it would work again. At least for another 30-40 minutes.

I have the same problem. The hand over the track pad seems cool

I've just resorted to buying the Kensington Bluetooth mouse for when working in Windows. Also saves wear and tear on the track pad when just using it at home.

I have the same problem; I also think it works better before the driver installation, but I can't do w/o the right click.
